Drug Arrest Made Following Search Warrant in Hillsboro, KY

On April 10, 2025, the Fleming County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence in Hillsboro, Kentucky, in a joint operation with the Kentucky State Police. Sheriff Tim Smith, along with Deputy Welch, K9 Rex and Deputy Cooper were assisted on scene by KSP Trooper Tyler Smith and Trooper Leo Leal during the investigation.

As a result of the search, Shane Johnson and Trista Jandro were taken into custody by the Fleming County Sheriff’s Office. Both individuals were charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (more than 2 grams of Methamphetamine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Illegal narcotics and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking were recovered at the scene.

Drug addiction continues to be a serious issue that affects individuals, families, and communities across the Commonwealth. The Fleming County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to taking a firm stance against illegal drug activity while also recognizing the importance of treatment and recovery for those struggling with substance abuse.

The charges against the individuals mentioned are accusations only. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
