The Fleming County Sheriff’s Office has received numerous reports of Santa Claus sightings in Fleming County. It appears that St. Nick has checked his list twice and is out making his deliveries.

Merry Christmas
Deputy Welch and K9 Rex attended 5 weeks of training at Southern Ohio Police K9 to become certified in narcotics detection, tracking, and suspect apprehension. During this time, Deputy Welch and K9 Rex worked closely together, building their bond with each other. We are excited to have this pair ready to hit the streets of Fleming County.
We would like to thank each and everyone who donated to make our K9 program possible.

Our office will be closed on Monday and Tuesday in observation of Christmas.
If you have an emergency, call 911. If you have a non-emergency and would like to speak with an on duty deputy, please call the Fleming County Dispatch at 606-845-2121.
We will be be open on Wednesday and Thursday and closed again on Friday for New Years. If you’d like to pay your taxes, you can do so in person on Wed and Thur or you can drop in our drop box outside the front door. You can mail your tax payment to:

Thank you to Giovanni’s of Flemingsburg for providing the Fleming County Sheriffs Office with the biggest pizza we’ve ever seen.
Thank you Gabby and Lorena of El Mixteco for providing the Fleming County Sheriffs Office and other local police officers with a fabulous lunch today.
Thanks to the generosity of many Fleming County people and businesses, both the Fleming County Sheriffs Office and the Flemingsburg Police Department were able to take another 20 students out to “Shop w/ a Cop”. This program means a lot to our Law Enforcement Officers and their families who help support this event.
On behalf of Deputy Rob Conn’s late father Sterling Conn, a family member donated hot wheels and matchbox cars to all of the participants.
For those that knew Sterling Conn, understood he had a love for cars, especially Ford. Sterling worked many years for Bobby’s Auto Sales in addition to repairing several vehicles for friends and family through the years. Because of this love for cars a family member wanted to honor Sterling’s memory by donating hot wheels and matchbox to Fleming County Sheriff’s Office and Flemingsburg Police Departments Shop with a Cop program.
Our community is extremely blessed to have the support of our local community.
The Fleming County Sheriffs Office (FCSO) and the Flemingsburg Police Dept (FPD) linked up with the Fraternal Order of Police and other agencies in Maysville to begin our 2023 Shop W/ Cop.
Thank you to everyone involved, and to those businesses and individuals who donated to make this Shop w/ cop a success. Because of your generosity, the FCSO and FPD will be able to provide over 40 of our local kids with a wonderful Christmas.

The Fleming County Sheriffs Office would like to thank all of the sponsors of our 2024 magnetic calendar. I was unaware, but we actually had so many sponsors that the calendar company had to create two calendars to display them all. Both calendars are available at the sheriffs office.
CRAM THE CRUISER
The Fleming County Sheriffs Office and the Flemingsburg Police Department are participating in Cash Express of Flemingsburg’s 20th Annual Toy & Coat Drive.
Cruisers are available today, December 1st 8:30am – 5:30pm, to place items in the back seat located in front of Cash Express at 128 Clark Street, Flemingsburg, KY. They are accepting coats, toys, and non-perishable food items. Stop inside Cash Express for a bake sale too.
