Mr. Skaggs has been apprehended.

Escapee/ Armed and Dangerous

Law Enforcement officials are currently attempting to locate Mr. Kyle Aaron Skaggs. Mr. Skaggs has escaped from a facility, reported to this agency initially in Lexington, KY and he is considered Armed and Dangerous. Skaggs previously lived in Flemingsburg, KY prior to his incarceration.

If anyone has information regarding the whereabouts of Mr. Skaggs, please contact Fleming County Dispatch at (606) 845-2121 or the Kentucky State Police at (606) 784-4127.

On May 8th, 2023, the Fleming County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation into drug activity on Goddard Rd.

On May 8th, 2023, the Fleming County Sheriff's Office conducted an investigation into drug activity on Goddard Rd. We've received numerous tips of illegal activity in the area. The Fleming County Sheriff's Office obtained and executed a search warrant on a residence. After completion of the warrant, and upon further investigation in the area of Goddard Rd, the Fleming County Sheriff's Office located evidence to charge Sam Muse with the following:

Trafficking in Controlled Substances 1st Degree, 2nd Offense (< 2 grams Methamphetamine)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Possession of Marijuana

Deputy Welch is leading the investigation.

The Fleming County Sheriffs Office is looking for Stanley Farris. Mr Farris currently has an active Warrant of Arrest issued for the following:

Sexual Abuse 1st degree
Unlawful Transaction with a Minor

Anyone with information to Mr Farris’ whereabouts is asked to contact the Fleming County Sheriffs Office at (606) 845-4701.

Deputy Logan Mullins is leading the investigation.

All parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Earlier this morning on Sunday, May 7th, 2023, Deputy Josh Patrick arrested James Conley on an Arrest Warrant for Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree – Methamphetamine.

Earlier this morning on Sunday, May 7th, 2023, Deputy Josh Patrick arrested James Conley on an Arrest Warrant for Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree – Methamphetamine.

This warrant was issued following the drug investigation from an April 23rd, 2023 case. Deputy Welch is leading the April 23rd drug investigation on James Conley.

All parties are innocent until proven guilty.

Fleming County Prom Night!!

Fleming County Prom Night!!

Watch for heavy traffic on Elizaville Rd this afternoon and evening.

The FCHS will provide valet services to students who are staying. They will use the Ewing side entrance. Parents wanting to watch the prom walk-in will pull into the lower entrance and park in the guest parking area.

Earlier today, Sheriff Smith conducted a traffic stop on the Bypass (KY57)/Maysville Rd on a Joseph Logan McKinney of Maysville.

Earlier today, Sheriff Smith conducted a traffic stop on the Bypass (KY57)/Maysville Rd on a Joseph Logan McKinney of Maysville. Sheriff Smith observed the driver hiding something under his seat. Sheriff Smith detected the odor of Marijuana from inside the car. Upon search of the vehicle, a pistol was located under the driver seat. Joseph states he had a backpack that had various drugs (marijuana and pills) and drug paraphernalia (to include scales, baggies and papers) inside it. Joseph McKinney was charged with the following:
Reckless Driving
No Operators License
Trafficking Marijuana
Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Deg
Poss Drug Paraphernalia
