At approximately 4:30pm on Friday, April 21st, 2023, 2 people attempted to break into a home in Hillsboro on Ashton St. The homeowner who was home during the incident fired multiple rounds at the suspects. The suspects fled the scene on foot. The homeowner sustained injuries during the break in and was transported to the hospital by Fleming County EMS.
