On Saturday Oct. 28th, 2023, the Flemingsburg Police Department responded to the intersection of Bypass Rd. and Elizaville Rd. for a minor injury collision involving a Fleming County Sheriffs cruiser that was hit while stopped at the intersection. The other vehicle involved was driven by 46 year old Michael Emmons of Ewing. Upon investigation, the Flemingsburg Police Dept arrested and charged Mr. Emmons with an aggravated count of Operating a Motor Vehicle under the influence. Fleming County Deputy Sheriff Josh Patrick was treated by the Fleming County Hospital for injuries sustained during the collision. The criminal charges and the collision are under investigation by the Flemingsburg Police Dept.
All parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
