On Sunday October 27, SGT Mullins, conducted a traffic stop on Morehead Rd on Mr. Troy Gilbert of Flemingsburg KY. SGT Mullins was assisted on scene by Deputy Welch, K9 Rex and OFC Workman of FPD. During the traffic stop, Deputy Welch utilized his partner Rex, who had a positive hit on the vehicle. During the search of the vehicle and surrounding area, deputies located approx 2.4oz (approx 68 grams) of methamphetamine. SGT Mullins charged Mr. Gilbert with Trafficking a Controlled Substance 1st degree – Methamphetamine, Tampering with Physical Evidence, and Careless Driving.
