ARREST MADE FOLLOWING SHOTS FIRED INVESTIGATION
During the early morning hours of July 11, 2026, the Fleming County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of shots fired on Elizaville Road. Investigators determined that a vehicle had been struck by a bullet, placing the three occupants at risk of serious physical injury.
As a result of the investigation, Kurtis Godsey was arrested and charged with three counts of Wanton Endangerment, First Degree.
The investigation remains active and is being led by Deputy Dustin Cooper, who was assisted by Sgt. Aaron Workman and Officer Hunter Hicks of the Flemingsburg Police Department. Anyone with additional information related to this incident is encouraged to contact the Fleming County Sheriff’s Office.
All individuals charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
