Earlier today, the Fleming County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one vehicle collision on US 68 with a juvenile male that was trapped inside the vehicle. The Ewing Fire Dept along with Fleming County EMS worked extremely hard in the blistering cold to extract the driver of the vehicle safely.

We are very blessed to have some of the best Fire Depts and our EMS group serving our communities.

Thank you to all of our local volunteers who go above and beyond in our communities! You truly do make the difference in people’s lives.

Early this morning, the Fleming County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a burglary on Mockingbird Hill and the area of Coskery Pike.

Early this morning, the Fleming County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a burglary on Mockingbird Hill and the area of Coskery Pike. Matthew Schwab was arrested and charged with second-degree burglary, theft from a vehicle, theft of a controlled substance, and possession of controlled substances, including methamphetamine.

Sheriff Smith and Chief Deputy Conn are seeking any additional information related to this case. Community members with relevant details are encouraged to contact the Fleming County Sheriff’s Office.

All parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
