Fleming County Golf Scramble raised over $3000 for the KY Sheriffs Association.
The Fleming County Sheriff Tim Smith, Deputy Bradley McIntyre along with KSP Trooper Smith and the property owners located a stolen truck on Junction Rd.
The Fleming County Sheriff Tim Smith, Deputy Bradley McIntyre along with KSP Trooper Smith and the property owners located a stolen truck on Junction Rd. The truck was stolen on June 26th from Rowan County on Sharkey Rd. The property owner observed the truck as it was being stolen and followed the stolen truck into Fleming County. The driver of the stolen vehicle fired a pistol at the property owner who was driving behind him. The property owner returned fire. The Rowan County Sheriffs Office is investigating the initial theft.
The Fleming County Sheriffs Office will be filing additional charges, pending the conclusion of the investigation into the actions that carried over into Fleming County.

The Fleming County Sheriff's Office has received several complaints of early morning thefts from the Mt Carmel Rd area. Below is a picture of a 2006 Ford Expedition (KY LIC PLATE 544 EFC) that was stolen this morning. Please call the Sheriff's Office with any information.

The Fleming County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the community for providing us with tips leading to following drug investigation. We’ve received numerous tips that Travis Gardner was selling drugs in our communities. Sheriff Smith and SGT Mullins initiated an extensive drug investigation. With assistance from KSP and the Flemingsburg Police Dept, we were able to make multiple control buys from Mr Gardner. On June 28th, Sheriff Smith, SGT Mullins, Deputies Patrick and Burns seized 20 grams of Methamphetamine from Mr Gardner’s possession, along with a firearm, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a lot of counterfeit $100 bills.
Mr Gardner was charged with the following:
Traf Cont Sub 1st Deg (2nd Off) (Meth)
Poss of Marijuana
Poss Drug Paraphernalia
Poss of Handgun by a convicted felon
Poss of Forged Instrument 1st Deg.
Additional charges are pending.
All parties are considered innocent until proven guilty.
