SCAM ALERT – PLEASE SHARE
We’ve been made aware of a phone scam happening here in Fleming County.
Scammers are calling from “No Caller ID” numbers and pretending to be from law enforcement. They’ll claim that someone you know has been arrested and that you’re listed as an emergency contact. They may even give real names, badge numbers, and details that make it sound believable — then tell you the person can be released if you pay a bond or fee.
Don’t fall for it!
• Law enforcement will never ask for money or bond payments over the phone.
• Never share your personal, credit card, or banking information.
• If you get a call like this, hang up and contact our office directly to verify.
Please help us spread the word so no one in our community becomes a victim of this scam.

Fleming County Property Tax Collection – 2025 Property tax bills have been mailed, and collection will begin October 1, 2025.

Collection Schedule:

• October 1 – November 1: 2% Discount (Note: Office will be open from 8am – 12 noon on Saturday, November 1st)
• November 2 – December 31: Face Value
• January 1st – January 31st: 5% Penalty
• February 1st – April 15th: 21% Penalty

Payment Options:

• In Person: 8:00am – 4:30pm M-F, Fleming County Sheriff’s Office,
• After Hour Drop Box: Located outside the office (under video surveillance)
• By Mail: Include your tax bill number and mail checks or money orders to:

• Payment Methods Accepted: Cash, Check, Money Order, Credit Card (2.5% fee applies to credit card payments)
