On Monday October 30th, 2023 SGT Mullins of the Fleming County Sheriff’s Office arrested Michael Williams of Goddard with Trafficking a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia & Possession of Marijuana.

On Monday October 30th, 2023 SGT Mullins of the Fleming County Sheriff’s Office arrested Michael Williams of Goddard with Trafficking a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia & Possession of Marijuana. SGT Mullins was assisted on scene by Deputy Welch and Probation and Parole Officer Harmon and Officer Schneider.

The Fleming County Sheriffs Office is committed to serving our community. We will continue to work hard to remove illegal drugs from our neighborhoods.

On Saturday Oct.

On Saturday Oct. 28th, 2023, the Flemingsburg Police Department responded to the intersection of Bypass Rd. and Elizaville Rd. for a minor injury collision involving a Fleming County Sheriffs cruiser that was hit while stopped at the intersection. The other vehicle involved was driven by 46 year old Michael Emmons of Ewing. Upon investigation, the Flemingsburg Police Dept arrested and charged Mr. Emmons with an aggravated count of Operating a Motor Vehicle under the influence. Fleming County Deputy Sheriff Josh Patrick was treated by the Fleming County Hospital for injuries sustained during the collision. The criminal charges and the collision are under investigation by the Flemingsburg Police Dept.

All parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

PUBLIC NOTICE- Emergency Preparedness Drill

On Friday October 20, 2023, at 9:00 a.m., Fleming County Hospital along with other community agencies will conduct an Emergency Preparedness Drill. Residents will see school buses, firetrucks, ambulances, police cars and other emergency vehicles at the hospital and at the People’s Plaza (intersection of the Bypass and Maysville Road).

Please know this is only a drill.

Emergency drills and exercises provide the most effective means of learning skills related to emergency preparedness and response. Drills and exercise are hands-on activities that build muscle memory and allow participants to actively engage in learning. Drills and exercises that consistently receive the best feedback are those that have the most planning associated with them.

No healthcare services will be interrupted during this drill.

2023 PROPERTY TAX NOTICE

The 2023 Fleming County tax bills are being mailed out the last week of September. Bills may be paid beginning October 1st, 2023. If you do not receive a bill by October 10th, 2023, please contact the Fleming County Sheriff's Office at (606) 845-4701.

The Fleming County Sheriff's Office will only accept cash or check. We do not accept credit cards.

Collection Dates:
October 1st – November 1st, 2023 – 2% discount.
November 2nd – December 31st, 2023 – Face Value.
January 1st, – January 31st, 2024 – 5% penalty.
February 1st – April 15th, 2024 – 21% penalty.
