Earlier today, we received notification that the human remains located on Fountain Ave on April 2nd, 2023 have been positively identified as Charles “CC” Prater. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers. The death investigation is being conducted by KSP.

2022 Fleming County Property Tax payments must be received by our office by Monday, April 17, 2023, prior to the close of business at 4:30pm. After that time, any unpaid bills will be delinquent and will transfer to the Fleming County Clerk. You can use the link provided to check for any unpaid tax bills.

The Fleming County Sheriff’s Office would like to welcome back Deputy Bradley McIntyre. Deputy McIntyre started his career with the Fleming County Sheriffs Office in March of 2016. He graduated from the Department of Criminal Justice Training in February 2017 as part of Class 479. He returns to the sheriff’s office from the KY State Parks where he served as a Park Ranger. Deputy McIntyre is pictured below being sworn in by our County Attorney Monica Hill.

Earlier today, the Fleming County Sheriff’s Office located human remains in Flemingsburg. Sheriff Smith and Deputy Mullins were assisted on scene by the Flemingsburg Police Dept, Kentucky State Police and the Fleming County Coroner. KSP is conducting the death investigation.
