On Sunday, November 12th, Deputy Welch observed Aaron Black at the Hillsboro Handi-Mart.

On Sunday, November 12th, Deputy Welch observed Aaron Black at the Hillsboro Handi-Mart. Mr Black had an indictment warrant for trafficking methamphetamine. He was additional charged with trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree, 2nd attempt (Methamphetamine) when Deputy Welch located more drugs on him. Upon further investigation, Deputy Welch was able to identify additional evidence indicating Mr Black with trafficking methamphetamine.

All parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Two people were arrested and charged with Trafficking a Controlled substance (Methamphetamine) on 11/9/23 after Deputy Patrick conducted a traffic stop on Torrince Garner.

Two people were arrested and charged with Trafficking a Controlled substance (Methamphetamine) on 11/9/23 after Deputy Patrick conducted a traffic stop on Torrince Garner. SGT Mullins and Deputy Cooper located methamphetamine and other drugs. Upon investigation, Mr Garner and Lorrie Eubanks admitting to bringing the drugs from Lexington to Flemingsburg for distribution.

All parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

The Fleming County Sheriff’s Office want our trick-or-treaters to be safe this Halloween!
👻 Don’t assume the right-of-way when crossing a street. Cross streets only at corners and crosswalks. Always look "left-right-left"
👻 Stay on well-lit streets and always use the sidewalk. If no sidewalk is available, walk at the farthest edge of the roadway facing traffic.
👻 Trick-or-treaters should only visit houses that have porch lights turned on.
👻 Never enter a stranger’s house or vehicle.
👻 Keep away from open flames or burning candles.
👻 Stay away from and don’t pet animals you don’t know.
👻 Have an adult check all candy before eating it.
👻 Stay focused on your surroundings. If you feel uncomfortable or threatened, go to the nearest store or restaurant. Call parents or the police.

On Monday October 30th, 2023 SGT Mullins of the Fleming County Sheriff’s Office arrested Michael Williams of Goddard with Trafficking a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia & Possession of Marijuana.

On Monday October 30th, 2023 SGT Mullins of the Fleming County Sheriff’s Office arrested Michael Williams of Goddard with Trafficking a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia & Possession of Marijuana. SGT Mullins was assisted on scene by Deputy Welch and Probation and Parole Officer Harmon and Officer Schneider.

The Fleming County Sheriffs Office is committed to serving our community. We will continue to work hard to remove illegal drugs from our neighborhoods.

On Saturday Oct.

On Saturday Oct. 28th, 2023, the Flemingsburg Police Department responded to the intersection of Bypass Rd. and Elizaville Rd. for a minor injury collision involving a Fleming County Sheriffs cruiser that was hit while stopped at the intersection. The other vehicle involved was driven by 46 year old Michael Emmons of Ewing. Upon investigation, the Flemingsburg Police Dept arrested and charged Mr. Emmons with an aggravated count of Operating a Motor Vehicle under the influence. Fleming County Deputy Sheriff Josh Patrick was treated by the Fleming County Hospital for injuries sustained during the collision. The criminal charges and the collision are under investigation by the Flemingsburg Police Dept.

PUBLIC NOTICE- Emergency Preparedness Drill

On Friday October 20, 2023, at 9:00 a.m., Fleming County Hospital along with other community agencies will conduct an Emergency Preparedness Drill. Residents will see school buses, firetrucks, ambulances, police cars and other emergency vehicles at the hospital and at the People’s Plaza (intersection of the Bypass and Maysville Road).

Please know this is only a drill.

Emergency drills and exercises provide the most effective means of learning skills related to emergency preparedness and response. Drills and exercise are hands-on activities that build muscle memory and allow participants to actively engage in learning. Drills and exercises that consistently receive the best feedback are those that have the most planning associated with them.

No healthcare services will be interrupted during this drill.
